Budrio, international capital of the Ocarina
In 2019, from April 25 to April 28, Budrio will host the 10th International Ocarina Festival, an event dedicated to the sound and atmosphere created by the ocarina, with the participation of several guests: musicians and makers from all over the world. The Festival is organized by the Municipal District of Budrio and it will involve concerts, musical entertainment on the streets, exhibits, folk dance and many other activities. Budrio will become the capital of a small group of artists and passionate supporters of the ocarina. As a matter of fact every two years people make a sort of pilgrimage to see the hometown of this beautiful instrument, to meet ocarina players and ocarina makers from other countries, but above all to play the ocarina together. For the 10th edition concerts are also planned in Bologna, Bentivoglio, Castenaso and Granarolo dell’Emilia. All events are free.
